At Hugh Peronett’s wife’s funeral, he notices his former lover, Emma Sands, and an old feeling is revived in his soul. However, Hugh has plans of his own: his friend’s wife Mildred, who is firmly determined to get what she wants. Hugh’s son Rendl also looks for comfort elsewhere, forgetting his wife Anne, whom Mildred’s brother secretly loves. The relationships between these people gradually become more and more tangled.
“The Wild Rose” is the story of nine people, each searching for love. It is the story of their inner wanderings, passions, doubts, illusions, and disappointments.
