A World of Girls

After her mother’s death, Esther goes to a school for girls. Separated from her younger sister, torn away from home and the familiar surroundings, she finds it difficult to get used to the school’s rules. New friends help her settle in, but her relationship with the universally beloved student Annie does not work out.
