A young girl from the children’s home, Tosa—cheerful, open, and sincere—arrives to earn money in a remote forest settlement in the Siberian wilderness. The local lumberjack Ilya— the best worker and simply the most noticeable guy in the area—at a bet with his friends, starts a romance with a small, funny Tosa. This wonderful story by Boris Bedny became the basis for the screenplay of a great domestic comedy loved by several generations.
