Children of Antarctica: Ice and Waves

The near future. Earth couldn’t withstand the impact of an alien swarm: almost all of humanity was destroyed or scattered, and the survivors hid in Antarctica. Because of the sixth continent’s deadly cold for the invaders, it became the only place they couldn’t reach. Time passed—people somehow adapted to the icy wasteland and formed groups of “collectors”: desperate raiders who go to the continents occupied by the aliens to obtain everything needed to live.

Matvey Belyaev once was considered the best of the collectors, but the tragedy of his last expedition forced him to give up the dangerous work forever. Everything changes when the existence of the Vostok station is put at risk: to save it, Matvey accepts an offer to become the guide for an expedition that must reach Moscow.

They will face an exhausting crossing across ice plains and stormy waters—into a world ruled by alien creatures. And it is Matvey’s skill and endurance that will determine who among the expedition members will survive.
