Daniil Kharms: Stuck in the Skies

In the book "Daniil Kharms. Stuck in the Heavens" Maksim Gureyev presents a new look at the biography of Daniil Kharms, a famous twentieth-century writer. The author explores Kharms’s life and work through his letters, recollections, possible dialogues, and poems. The book reveals Kharms’s unique personality, his role as a poet, writer, and person, illustrating the text with autographs, drawings, and photographs of contemporaries. Gureyev also turns to Kharms’s own words, noting that for him the main thing was to make his life like art—turning "the creation of life as art" into an existential category.
