Distant Shores: Selected Poems

The anthology “Distant Shores” is a collection of poetry by the Russian diaspora.

From the many poems filled with pain and longing for the lost homeland, the reader has chosen several that most deeply touched the heart.

“AND FOR THE FACT THAT OUR HOMELAND EXPELLED US, WE ROVED THROUGH THE WORLD…!” Under these bitter lines, written by the Harbin poet Alexei Achair, many representatives of Russian émigré literature could have signed—those who shared the same tragic fate of exile.
