“The Further Adventures of Robinson Crusoe” is the direct continuation of Daniel Defoe’s famous novel, published in 1719.
A few years after returning to England, Robinson Crusoe—driven by an irresistible urge to travel—sets out again, outfitting a ship and sailing with his faithful Friday to his island lost in the ocean. Finding there a young colony of settlers, he helps them establish their way of life.
However, this is only the beginning of a new, grand journey: ahead of him await peril-filled sea and land adventures that will take the hero through Africa, Madagascar, Southeast Asia, China, and the boundless expanses of Siberia.
