Description
The most interesting novels about Stalin’s special forces SМERSH. 1943. The Red Army advances. The country’s industry is working at its limit. A significant part of military production comes from the Kuznetsk Metallurgical Combine. It is right there that Abwehr prepares a serious provocation. The Germans’ plans become known to Soviet counterintelligence. A senior lieutenant of SМERSH, Semyon Goryunov, is sent to the combine. He manages to infiltrate the sabotage group. But figuring out who leads it isn’t so easy: the agents receive instructions through couriers and don’t know the bosses by face. Realizing that only a few days remain until the planned operation, Goryunov rushes to develop a cunning plan… “Death to Spies!” (SМERSH) — the short and merciless name carried a special NKVD unit subordinate to I. Stalin. Created during the war years, it consisted of proven-in-combat, honest, and fearless officers of the Red Army. Everyone feared SМERSH—both the fascist saboteurs preparing diversions in our combat formations and Hitler’s henchmen operating deep in the Soviet rear. The enemy knew: if Stalin’s special forces had gotten onto its trail, there would be no avoiding a fair and swift trial.

The novels of the “SМERSH — Stalin’s Special Forces” series are always an exciting, dynamic plot and new historical knowledge—an action story written in simple, understandable language. The total print run of A. Tamonikov’s books is over 10 million copies!
