The missile ship “Baltijsk” of the “Karakurt”-class is transferred from the 21st century of Russia back to June 1941. At that very moment, the Red Banner Baltic Fleet makes its tragic passage from Tallinn to Kronstadt under continuous bombing by the Luftwaffe. The ship’s commander Viktor Chaika makes an instant decision to shield Soviet warships and civilian transports with the “umbrella” of his anti-aircraft complex. Rockets and six-barreled guns clear the sky over the fleet, dropping dozens of German bombers into the cold waters of the Baltic. Captain-Lieutenant Chaika, a native of Saint Petersburg, gets a unique chance to prevent the blockade of Leningrad. Can the power of a single ship from the future change the course of fighting in the Baltic—and perhaps the course of the entire Great Patriotic War?
