Leap from the Trap

A novel about wartime, about complex destinies and dangerous work of unknown heroes who were included in the “special forces of Beria” strike team. Returning from an overseas assignment, Lieutenant Colonel of the NKVD special unit Maxim Shelestov and his assistant Mikhail Sosnovsky get into an air crash. Their plane crashes over one of the islands in the Hawaiian area. The pilots die. The surviving operatives try to orient themselves and unexpectedly come across the local inhabitants. They use the island for military purposes and act openly against the USSR. Realizing they can rely only on their own strength, the fighters of Beria’s detachment decide to start a tricky “game” with the enemy—to buy time and get a chance at rescue…
