In the novel “The Storm”, the classic Ukrainian literature (1840–1904) “Storm” forms the second part of the trilogy about Bohdan Khmelnytsky and reflects events related to the beginning of the Ukrainian people’s war for social and national liberation (1648–1654). At the center of the work are detailed scenes of the battles of Zhovti Vody and Korsun, which ended in a complete victory of the insurgents.
