Twenty-two years ago, Quincy Miller was sentenced to life in prison without parole. He was accused of a brutal murder of Keith Russo, a lawyer from a small town in Florida. In this case there were no reliable witnesses, no clear motive—and the only piece of evidence burned in a fire shortly before the trial.

Now Quincy has a chance to be released. The case is taken up by Callen Post, an attorney with the “Defender” fund. Over twelve years, the organization has cleared eight people sent to prison as a result of a judicial mistake, and Post believes Miller will be the ninth.
