Description

A regular, unlucky policeman lives his life. He’s already past forty, but he’s still a captain. He lives with his father-in-law—a troublesome old man about sixty. The captain’s wife has long run away from him, leaving only her father behind. You can’t kick out the father-in-law, and besides, there’s nowhere to go.

To make matters worse, their police unit exchanges by cultural program with the police in Los Angeles. More successful officers go to Los Angeles, and our captain is forced to host an American guest in his two-room apartment. Suddenly, the guest turns out to be a young female corporal—and she speaks Russian.

A conflict with the criminal authority Valera leads to an attack on Sasha’s apartment by some dark forces. It won’t be easy to believe in the existence of people from the Other Side—especially when you yourself are called one of them…
