Description
The dead have risen in Stockholm! They crawl out of morgues, graves, and hospitals. Unexplainable. Impossible. People call the police in shock and hysteria about encounters with their deceased relatives, with whom they already said goodbye. The situation is catastrophic. Sweden’s prime minister cancels a meeting with Nelson Mandela and flies home in a hurry. A special emergency commission is formed from representatives of ministries, the police, and doctors. A state of mass epidemic is declared. No, it doesn’t smell like a zombie apocalypse—officially named “reanimated” walking corpses are not aggressive and don’t crave brains. Still, it doesn’t make life much easier for the living. Try solving the problem of the risen dead at least from the standpoint of logistics! But worse than that: anyone who has lost someone close and beloved is ready for a lot to get them back. But will they be ready for the fact that their wish will be granted—and they’ll have to deal with the consequences?

Jon Ajvide Lindqvist’s novel “Let the Right One In” isn’t a zombie horror story, but a philosophical parable about death and love. Lindqvist’s worldwide fame came from his debut book “Let Me In”—an unexpected vampire novel that broke the boundaries of the genre and has been adapted for film three times. The director of the American-British film “Let the Right One In. Saga” was Matt Reeves. The film adaptation of “Let the Right One In” is being prepared in Sweden.
