The colonization of a planet with an oxygen atmosphere and a rich animal and plant world. The initial period—when, after researchers and “room/apartment” workers, comes an influx of general laborers. Unexpectedly for the expedition, other intelligent—and also semi-intelligent and even completely unintelligent, but well-organized—creatures are nearby, capable of coordinated, meaningful activity together. Everyone has their own problems and difficulties. To survive not only, but also to settle with comfort, the settlers had to strain not just their strength but also their brains. Sudden encounters, adventures, conflicts, and mutual help—everything fell to the lot of the Earth people in full measure.
