Bhagavad Gita

Description
“Bhagavad Gita” (“Song of God”) is a fragment of the world’s longest poem, the ancient Indian epic “Mahabharata.” Like the Old Testament, “Mahabharata” is not a single continuous narrative, but a collection of stories. In the “Bhagavad Gita,” a conversation takes place between Prince Arjuna and his charioteer, an embodiment of the preserver-god Vishnu—Krishna. This passage has long outgrown the “Mahabharata” and became a standalone book—one of the most sacred books not only of Hinduism, but of all humanity, pointing the way for seekers of truth.

The book translation was done by Boris Grebenshchikov—poet, musician, composer, and performer.
