When you fall asleep, the world of nightmares comes alive.

At the end of the 1800s, in a small Scandinavian town called Grimswick, frightening events begin: children disappear, and nights are filled with strange, terrifying sounds. The townspeople fear they’ve been cursed. No one can find the culprit, and hope gradually fades.

One evening, a boy named Erik is attempted to be kidnapped from an orphanage. He manages to see the kidnapper—a dirty, frightening man with a scar on his chest.

Later, a strange person is found in the suburbs—he doesn’t remember his name or how he ended up there. Erik insists that this is the same man with wild eyes who tried to abduct him. When the suspect’s shirt is taken off, a scar is visible on his chest… The man becomes the prime suspect.

The creator of this story is Dmitry Kowalski, a writer and screenwriter who works on the radio and is the author of a popular book blog on TikTok under the nickname Kowalskiwriter.
