Description

M. A. Bulgakov’s play «Flight» depicts the final stage of the Civil War, permeated by the pain of the White Army’s defeat. Before us is the fate of the first Russian emigrants, cast by the wave of revolution beyond the borders of their native land. Crimea — Constantinople — Paris… They flee from Russia, flee from the revolution, but at some point they realize that they are fleeing from themselves, for Russia is part of their soul, tormented by separation.
