Gang by the Law

Trofimov, a criminal businessman, has his daughter kidnapped, and an enormous sum is demanded for her release. The former cop Stas Khabarov—who joins the search—starts compiling a list of potential enemies of Trofimov. It includes the Caucasus powerbrokers Karen, Bakha, and a few other rather unremarkable people. The investigation then unexpectedly takes such a turn that Stas doesn’t seem to find it easy. Not only did he have to tangle with a ferocious gang, but his fellow cops also try to shove him behind bars…
