This edition contains the novella “Aksya” (1858) by the great Russian writer Ivan Sergeyevich Turgenev (1818–1883). Aksya is an extraordinarily deep and whole nature; she runs away from her feeling when she sees that the powerless man she has loved is not worthy of the strength of her emotion.
