"Angels Leave Without Saying Goodbye" is the last thing Viktor Likhachev managed to write. The work remained unfinished, but precisely in it the writer appears to the reader as he truly was: sincere, believing, not hiding his flaws. Having traveled through and visited almost the entire country, Viktor reflected on the pages of the book his boundless love for Russia, for the Russian village—and above all, the path of a person who found God and accepted Him in his heart.
