An Amulet for His Happiness

My name is Mary, and I have a lot of problems. For starters, I’m hired as a nanny, housekeeper, and governess to a big, spoiled brat—my former schoolmate, Dan—and now I’m required to do magic reports and term papers for him, clean up his apartment, and make sure he attends classes at the most prestigious magical university his parents managed to send him to from our world.

But my charge isn’t ordinary—he can’t do anything to me without consequences: he can’t just insult me, humiliate me, or even raise his hand, because I’m paying off my parents’ debt and I have to put up with all the brat’s antics and be happy about studying in such pompous place alongside the golden youth… And on top of that, for some reason, I ended up on the dean of our Faculty of Combat Charms’ bad side. He constantly tries to fail me in seminars and (oh horror!) on credits.

But I’ll handle all of this. I have to. What else can I do? Because my family is behind me!
