The Scarlet Feather

The book tells the story of two dreamers, Cathy and Tom, who form a partnership and create a catering company called “Scarlet Feather” in Dublin. They face various difficulties: the mother-in-law disapproves of Cathy, Tom’s husband is busy with work, Tom’s family expects him to take a different path, and his girlfriend is absorbed in her career. The book is a sort of chronicle of their happy year, full of joy, bitterness, victories, and defeats. Maeve Binchy, the well-known Irish writer and author of more than a dozen and a half novels, once again shows her talent for creating gripping stories that make readers experience everything together with the heroes.
