Two couples go on vacation to the mountains of Catalonia: a well-off family with experience, and lovers who are about to announce their wedding. Five days spent in seclusion change everything. A wife and mother of two sons—proper and exemplary—suddenly gets carried away by her younger sister’s fiancé, but her husband keeps a careful watch over her, and he already suspects his wife of infidelity. Relations between the characters heat up; circumstances push them to the brink of life and death.

The novel is based on a real story. Interviews with the main character are provided at the end of the book.
