The Silver Age was rich in writers—and women writers. Women created no less often than men, but their names are now in the past. At Bukmeit’s request, Maria Nesterenko, a specialist in the work of forgotten women writers of the 19th and early 20th centuries, compiled an anthology of texts created by Lidia Charskaya, Elena Guro, Anna Mar, Anastasia Verbitskaya, Izabella Grinevskaya, and Evdokiya Nagrodskaya. For the audio collection, the stories were read by Elena Nikolaeva, Anna Nevskaya, and Polina Pushkaruk, who played in the series “Actresses.”
“Actresses Read: The Century of Women” is an opportunity for forgotten voices to sound again.
