On the eve of New Year’s Eve, Yolka, an employee of the Federal Agency for Investigating Paranormal Crimes, receives an urgent assignment: go to a research complex where a fire recently broke out, and track down the fugitive—a dragon that escaped from the laboratory. The scientists who ran experiments on it insist that the creature is deadly dangerous to the city and is a true monster.
However, it quickly becomes clear that the main danger is hidden somewhere else.
Yolka finds the dragon in another dimension and sets out to bring it back. But during the search, a curse intended for someone else accidentally lands on her. She has only seven days left—during that time she must manage to pull the dragon out of the other world and pay off the one who condemned it to suffering.
