Something extraordinary happened to the main characters of the novella—physics teacher Alexey Palych and his assistant Borya. In their laboratory, an alien suddenly settled in! The guest from outer space arrived on Earth on an important mission: to learn from people how to experience emotions. However, the alien must under no circumstances reveal its true self to anyone except its new friends. But in a small town where, out of every three people, two know each other, keeping the visit of a messenger from a distant planet secret from Alexey Palych and Borya will be a real challenge!
