Meeting the Parents

“Shawn!”—a thin, indignant squeak makes things only worse, just like the scurrying under him. It’s always so funny. A tiny one, just the height of a thumb, and he—already eighteen feet tall in six and a half… and by twenty-five he’s added a lot of weight. They look amusing together. He likes that too.

“Shawn! But you didn’t listen to me at all!”

— “I did listen, of course…

— And you have to ask for my hand from my dad…
