The novel “The Green Night” was written between March and September 1926. It was first published in 1928. This is Reshad Nuri Güntekin’s most profound work. In “The Green Night,” the writer for the first time turns to the image of the new person of Turkey—a positive republican hero, as the author, of course, understood him, entrusting the fate and future of the new citizens of the country to him—their education and upbringing.
