Andrey Morozov, by the will of fate, finds himself in the year nineteen forty-one—and of course he ends up in the war. Without considering his knowledge “extensive,” he doesn’t appeal to the authorities; he simply follows fate’s command and fights alongside other Red Army fighters. The beginning of the war is a hard time for everyone. Andrey retreats toward Moscow, moving from one unit to another. All the way, he is constantly on the brink of death, but stubbornly, he survives.
