The Cuban Missile Crisis turns into World War III: nuclear strikes erase the European part of the USSR from the map, and more than half of the United States as well, while in East Asia the war gives rise to alliances that once seemed impossible. This is an alternative history where the cost of a mistake is beyond imagination, and the outcome is decided not only in the West, but also in the East.

Alternative history: the Cuban Missile Crisis escalates into a world war. The USSR and the United States exchange nuclear strikes—tens of millions погибших. Almost the entire European part of the USSR is turned to ruins; the cities of the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Siberia are hit. The United States loses more than half of its territory. In Western Europe, the tank armies of the Warsaw Pact break through to the Rhine. Thanks to a precise diplomatic move by the president, France leaves NATO at the last moment and declares neutrality—together with Austria and Switzerland. And in the east of Asia, war leads to conflicts and alliances that just yesterday would have been unimaginable.
