The War of the Mice and the Frogs

While preparing to render into Russian the ancient Greek parody of the Iliad—the poem Batrachomyomachia (“The War of the Mice and the Frogs”)—Vasily Zhukovsky wrote a prehistory of this war, about the initially peaceful conversation between the king of the frogs and the prince of the mice.
