Lords of the North

This is the story of the time when it was decided who would rule England—the king-warrior Alfred, who drove the Vikings out of Wessex. It’s the tale of Uhtred, a Saxon raised by the Danes, yet fighting alongside Alfred. Of a young man who dreams of a great country, fears defeat not at all, and with all his heart desires victory for his king.

This is a narrative of Uhtred’s dangerous journey to the north of England, where strife, chaos, and destruction reign. His goal is Northumbria—a kingdom of three rival rulers, none of whom loves Uhtred, and two of them want him dead. But that is where his home is. There he must repay the debt of blood vengeance. Uhtred will have to pass through many trials to prove who the true master of the North is. He follows the path of the sword.
