A man-made virus, the «Archon,» bursts out of the laboratory. This betacoronavirus, with a 50% fatality rate, brings down the world’s healthcare systems. At the center of the plot is a therapist from a provincial town. Together with his wife and daughter, he tries to survive as the state, medicine, and society collapse. A story about the fragility of a civilization created by humankind.
