“Willy Winky” Publishing House presents!

One marvelous sunny day, when spring was already swirling in the air, Mr. MOLE decided to crawl out of his cozy burrow and take a look at the world around.

Together with his Uncle DETOM they get into a boat and set off on a real journey along the river.

Scottish writer Kenneth Grahame loved telling fairy tales to his son.

The tale of the adventures of a mole, a badger, and a toad was published in 1908, and instantly captured the hearts of young readers.

The illustrations for this edition were created by Graham Baker-Smith, holder of the 2011 “Kate Greenaway Medal.”

This is a magical tale about true friendship and thrilling adventures in the classic translation by Irina Tokmakova.

For primary school age.

From the performer: As a child, I wasn’t able to read this classic book—I guess that’s a pity. I would definitely have swallowed it in one go in second or third grade. Written right at the beginning of the twentieth century, the fairy tale wears unmistakably Victorian attire. Gentleman-animals live side by side with animal animals and just plain people—a strange, tangled mix. Still, in the ancestors of this Mole, Rat the water-rat, and Toad Toud, it’s easy to see Alice and the spectacle surrounding her; and in the not-so-distant descendants—Tolkien’s hobbits and even the unbearable egotist Karlsson. We should see how modern children will react. I hope they’ll like it

And so.
