Ari’s dreams of Wonderland suddenly go beyond imagination—and turn into reality, but in the most terrifying form: Bill the Lizard, the Mad Hatter, and the Cheshire Cat are no longer just characters when a nightmare begins to seep into her everyday life.
Ari Kurisugawa, an ordinary student, repeatedly sees unusual dreams. In them, a girl named Alice wanders through a ridiculous and strange Land of Wonders, where Bill the Lizard becomes her faithful friend, the Mad Hatter carries out investigations like a real detective, and the Cheshire Cat appears unfailingly when she least expects it. It could all seem like a whimsical game of the subconscious—if not for one thing: the events from her dreams begin to take shape in real life, and each time they grow darker.
Soon, a tragedy occurs: Oji, a forgetful doctoral student nicknamed Egg, dies after falling off a roof—exactly like Humpty Dumpty in the dream. Ari and her reserved classmate Imori, who—by some inexplicable coincidence—is connected to this nightmare, quickly come to a terrifying conclusion: death in Wonderland means death in the real world. Meanwhile, Alice herself comes under suspicion in a string of brutal murders.
