At the Critical Point

Living on Tenebra is three times as hard, threefold difficult, than it is on Earth—not because of the gravity itself, which is about three times stronger than Earth’s. The atmosphere here consists of water vapor: by day it is in a critical state under pressure of hundreds of atmospheres and a temperature of hundreds of degrees. At night, the vapor condenses, forming water, streams, lakes, and oceans. The truth is that lakes and oceans exist on Tenebra even during the day—but as concentrated sulfuric acid. The planet has intelligent life—scaly creatures, like pinecones, with four pairs of limbs.
