In search of models for the shoot, Emilienne meets all kinds of women—from a famous prostitute involved in a scandal with France’s national football players, to the love-struck widow of a country pastor—and in the kaleidoscope of their stories, alternating fictional plotlines with real ones, she searches for an answer to the question: what is a modern woman?
