In a picturesque castle in the north of England, the eccentric collector Lord Winterbourne gathers many distinguished guests from the world of literature to present a rare copy of an extremely valuable book. But soon it turns out that one of the guests—the respected literary critic—was poisoned with that very book. Young librarian Emily, a passionate lover of literature, decides to take the investigation into her own hands. Accompanied by the castle’s fearless butler and a charming detective, Emily dives into a world of literary secrets, uncovering jealousy and intrigue among the guests—each of whom could be both a victim and a killer. Along the way, she finds not only clues, but answers to her own questions.
