Vladimir Nabokov’s stories are small masterpieces of extraordinary lyrical power. And the works included in the collection, “ACCIDENTS,” are also interesting because they belong to the very beginning of the writer’s career—these are the first steps of the future master of prose. The stories were published between 1921 and 1926 in the newspapers “RUL” (Berlin) and “TODAY” (Riga), and some of them were even not included in official collections.
