This audiobook is a classic work of medieval Slavic literature. At the heart of “The Tale of Igor's Campaign” lies the failed campaign of 1185 by the Kievan prince against the Polovtsians. The campaign was led by Prince Igor, son of Svyatoslav. Specialists believe that the work was created one or two years later. A great deal of work on the study of this piece was carried out by Academician D. S. Likhachov. He also reads the literary version of the work.
Connoisseurs may be surprised by the piece prepared by Musin-Pushkin, which serves as a bonus to the main work. He is also the man who found “The Tale” and revealed it to the world.
