Aleksandr Abramov (1900–1985) is a Russian science-fiction writer who began publishing in the 1920s (including the work “The Destruction of Chess”). He was the father of Sergey Abramov and together with him created the main books: the trilogy “Riders From Nowhere” (“Riders From Nowhere,” “Heaven Without Memory,” “The Silver Variant”), the novels “Celesta—7000” and “Everything Is Permitted,” as well as many novellas and short stories.
