Julia Wynn is an American woman in her middle years: a successful lawyer, but her personal life lies in ruins. One day, she suddenly begins hearing the voice of an unfamiliar woman. The voice keeps asking her questions she doesn’t want to answer at all: why is she lonely? Who is she truly attached to? What does she want to achieve in life? Julia is afraid she’s going crazy. But an old monk tells her that the woman “who has attached herself” to Julia comes from Burma.
And Julia sets off on a long journey, where she will have to learn a very difficult art—living in harmony with her own heart.
An excellent continuation of the novel “The Art of Hearing Heartbeats.”
