He was part of the “magnificent five”: Rozhdestvensky, Yevtushenko, Voznesensky, Akhmadulina, Okudzhava. In the 1960s he was one of those who conquered the Polytechnic Museum and sports palaces. Back then the police learned firsthand that besides such mass spectacles as football and hockey, there was also POETRY.
These poets burst into life like a fresh wind of change. Their poetic lines were awaited like manna from heaven, like answers to many questions.
