Description
A monumental work—though small in volume. Written at the beginning of the 20th century, it has not lost its relevance even today, which speaks to the author’s undeniable genius. Even now, quotations from this work adorn the walls of public and ceremonial buildings in many countries. Khalil Gibran himself considered “The Prophet” his best work and worked on it for almost his entire life.
He wrote: “I think that ‘The Prophet’ has always been in me, ever since I lived near the Mount Lebanon.”
