The Curse of the Prague Synagogue

Prague is rightfully considered one of the most mystical places in Europe. Every corner of the Old Town keeps a story about ghosts of innocent people who were killed, or about alchemists who once lived nearby. For Vojtěch Dvořák, this beautiful city is also the place where he was born, grew up, and experienced a great many disappointments. When his older brother—who he hasn’t spoken to for years—encounters something inexplicable, Vojtěch returns to his childhood city to understand what happened. During repairs in the basement of the Old New Synagogue, workers discovered an entrance to a previously unknown underground chamber—and, along with it, they released what had been intentionally buried there for centuries, thereby setting off a chain of mysterious deaths. To find out the cause, Vojtěch, his brother, and their friends will have to plunge into the mysterious world of the legends of the Jewish Quarter—and not lose their nerve when the killer turns out to be much closer than any of them could have imagined.
