Vitaly Valentinovich Bianki (1894–1959) is a well-known writer, a classic of Soviet children’s literature. More than one generation of children in our country grew up on his books. During his lifetime he wrote over 300 stories, fairy tales, and novellas. Bianki’s books, revealing the world of nature and helping readers understand its secrets to this day remain deservedly popular with readers of all ages.
