Last Admonitions

The well-known prose writer Nikolai Klimontovich, author of the books "The Road to Rome", "The Last Newspaper", and "Further Everywhere", loves to play with his readers. He lures them in with amusing anecdotes, a light and irreverent style, and elegant irony, which in the course of the narrative inexplicably transform into a serious conversation about life and death. Klimontovich's "Admonitions" are completely free of moralizing; he always suggests: "This is what I think. You may think otherwise. Shall we talk?"
