The Writer and the Ballerina

Mark Weinstein, author of popular historical detective novels, can’t live without ballet. And it’s not only because his grandmother and mother were ballerinas. He is captivated by the beauty of this art—at once alluring and terrifying. Mark considers it a life’s mission to create a novel about ballet. And when he sees Polina Iz horskaya on stage, and then accidentally meets her in a café, he understands: here she is, the heroine! But for some reason, this fragile angel inspires him to write gruesome scenes of murders.
