Captain of the first rank naval special forces Kirill Mazur faces the secret operation “Sword-fish.” It’s so important that if Mazur completes it successfully, he might become an admiral. For now, though, he is on vacation with his wife. But the idyll is interrupted. Mazur and his wife are detained in the middle of the taiga by a military patrol.

At first, the captenang thinks it is a test arranged by the home counterintelligence before the upcoming operation. But soon he realizes the full horror of the situation. A crazy new Russian has arranged a hunt in the taiga for foreign guests. And in that hunt, several caught tourists are destined to become prey—including Kirill and his wife. But the Soviet Union didn’t train special forces men just to make them the prey. Unarmed, stripped of weapons and food, Mazur himself starts hunting his pursuers.
